COLONIAL FUR TRADER

They used fur for hats, coats, and trimming. They  prized beaver pelts for making men’s hats. Colinies gave lisenses to create trading post. At these post, fur traders traded cloth, iron tools, and beads to the native tribes for fur. The traders then sold the furs to ENGLEND fora good profit. Hatters,tailors,sailors,and merchants all made money from the fur trade. The fur trade led to hurt feelings between native tribes. The fur trade fell off in the late 1700’s. Animals became scarce as settlement increased.
